OLMO ÁLVAREZ
Born in Granada (Spain), Olmo began to show musical aptitude at a very early age and at only 6 years old he began his musical studies on the flute.
With a great eagerness to perfect and master the flute and after finishing his higher studies in Cordoba (Spain) Olmo is accepted at the Swedish National Orchestra Academy in Gothenburg, where he receives an extensive orchestral training and improvement of the flute by the soloists of the Swedish National Orchestra.
In 2020 Olmo was awarded the first prize as soloist of the academy:
“Olmo filled the entire room with his sound and his musicality. A truly natural soloist who impressed and convinced us from the first to the last note.”
Today Olmo is a freelancer and a frequent collaborator with orchestras such as the Swedish National Orchestra, Göteborgs Operan and Jönköpings Sinfonietta among others.
CLAUDIA BESNÉ
